| Sights & Things
to do in Akbuk
Akbuk has a fish market at the quay side where you can buy your catch
of the day (sea bass, sea bream, sword fish etc) from the local fishermen.
However, if you happen to be an early bird, it is most satisfying and enjoyable
to await the fishermens return to the jetty and buy your fish direct.
Every Friday Akbuk has a large market. There are plenty of small
shops in the town such as mini markets, fresh fruit and vegetable stalls,
butchers, hairdressers, internet cafe and there is one night club called
Jokers.
For those lazy days, the centre of Akbuk offers a number of bars,
beach front cafes and restaurants to just sit, relax and chill out in a
wonderful climate, agreeably hot and sunny with a gentle breeze.
Whilst understated the town has a subtle buzz about it with a
wonderful laid back atmosphere. If you want to relax yet have all amenities
close to hand then Akbuk is the right choice for you. Akbuk Bay
Akbuk Bay is cradled by mountains with protected forests and olive
trees rolling down to a vast crystal bay with many sandy coves to explore. Due
to the calm waters around Akbuk, the bays in the area are very safe for all the
family to enjoy.
Our Villa has spectacular views of Akbuk Bay from the roof terrace to
the front and to the back is the forest. You can take a short trip down to the
harbour where you can take boat trips to golden sand beaches and coves with
plenty of snorkeling opportunities. Alternatively, catch one of the ferries to
nearby Altinkum where you can take your pick from of day trips to resorts such
as Bodrum, or slightly further afield to Kusadasi or just spend the day
shopping.
